About Richard F Moorhouse DDS

Around Sacramento, specialist offices tend to cluster near hospitals and in medical office parks, and wait times for a consultation run from a few days for an endodontist to several weeks for a busy orthodontist. Most consultations across California are free or low-cost and come with a written treatment plan and price; ask whether the fee is in-network for your plan, what sedation options exist and how many visits the treatment takes. A second opinion is normal for implants, jaw surgery and full-mouth reconstruction, and reputable specialists expect it.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 amβ5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Richard F Moorhouse DDS at (916) 369-6699; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Sacramento is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR EXTRACTIONS. I was told I would be sedated, yet I was fully aware, responding, and reacting throughout the entire procedure. During my extraction, the dentist cut a large gash in the left side of my mouth and then stopped the procedure, telling my boyfriend he could not continue because I was too responsive. To make matters worse, I was charged $310 for an X-ray that felt completely unnecessary. After the failed procedure, I was referred to a hospital setting because I was told they were the only ones who could provide stronger anesthesia. What doesnβt make sense is that when I contacted my insurance company, I was informed they were billed for deep anesthesia. If I was supposedly given deep anesthesia, why was I awake, aware, responding, and physically reacting throughout the procedure? The entire experience felt misleading, unprofessional, and like a complete waste of my time. Instead of receiving the treatment I came in for, I left injured, frustrated, and needing to start the process all over somewhere else. Patients deserve honest communication about what anesthesia they are actually receiving and what to realistically expect before undergoing a proced

I wish I had checked reviews before taking my mom to Dr Moorhouse. He treated her like she's not a person because she has Alzheimer's Disease. He was quick to judge her and the situation, saying they wouldn't be able to take x-rays before even trying. He said he'd have to submit a claim to her insurance and his staff told me it would 5-10 days to hear back from the insurance company. They hardly answer their phone or return calls. After 2 weeks of trying to get a hold of them and find out what was going on they denied treatment to my mom. Not because insurance denied the claim but because Dr Moorhouse was not going to be paid enough. He literally said they don't pay him enough & told me he was requesting extra time for the anethesia due to her dementia because it could take her longer to come out of it. I also found out when I spoke with the insurance company that his claim included alveoplasty, which was never brought up to us as something he would be doing or that it was needed for her tooth extractions (she was not going to have dentures or implants after the extractions). I feel like he was trying to bilk the system and when it wasn't going to work he chose to just deny her ser

I got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out, at age 29. There was a small risk of nerve paraesthesia, but it didn't happen. The surgery felt very quick because I was put under, and I was out of there in under an hour. They also were able to get my insurance to cover all 4 teeth instead of just the one that was impacted. That saved me from so much stress. I'm almost fully recovered after 2 weeks. Recovery was very painful, especially for 3-4 days but thankfully I was prescribed pain medication. First day post-op I was very nauseated and vomiting, probably from the anesthesia. But I'm so grateful the surgery was a success, thank you Richard Moorhouse!! And I didn't have to remove my earrings for the Xray which was a relief!
